2023-2024 Academic year
Hastings College and the Monticello College Foundation are offering scholarships to promote education, opportunities and experiences for women. Applicants must be female, undergraduate students, enrolled full time in the 2023-2024 school year with at least 60 earned credits. Applicants must be admitted in the Teacher Education Program. Special consideration will be given to students that have financial need (as determined by the FAFSA) and to students majoring in areas of teacher shortages. Amount: $1,000-$2,000. Previous applicants may apply. The award cannot exceed full tuition when combined with recipient's current Hastings College scholarship. Deadline: August 15, 2023
Richard Rawle Memorial Scholarship from Check City is offering a $2,000 scholarship essay contest to full-time student with a GPA of at least 2.5. This essay prompt is "How have you given back to your community and what did you learn in the process?" All students are encouraged to apply, regardless of their major. Deadline: June 1, 2023.
Kinect Solar Scholarship Program is offering two scholarships for $2,500, one winner each semester to a student that is a US citizen and any field of study. 500 word essay or video required. Deadlines are Fall: June 30, 2023 and Spring: December 1, 2023
Nebraska Environmental Health Association is offering a $500 scholarship to an undergraduate and graduate student currently enrolled in an environmental health/public health science-based program. Required application materials must be submitted by May 31, 2023.
Lincoln Industries Art Scholarship in partnership with NICF is offering a $500 scholarship to a student enrolled in an art program pursuing a degree in the visual arts. The recipient must be a legal resident of Nebraska and in good academic and social standing. Each recipient must submit a high-quality photograph of a piece of art they recently created. Deadline: October 1, 2023.
The Omaha chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), in partnership with AIM and major financial support from the Team Software Chad Nourse Scholarship Fund, is offering several scholarships to help further the education of students in Nebraska with the goal of achieving an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field. Deadline: June 1, 2023
Bold.org is a website helping students find outside scholarships easier. Two new scholarships listed: Prime Putt for Women Golfers and HeySunday Eco-Warriors. Each scholarship offers different award amounts and different Deadlines.
True Leaf Market - The Demetrios Agathangelides Memorial Agricultural Sciences Scholarship will offer one $5,000 scholarship to a college student involved in the agricultural sciences. Application and Essay requirements attached. Deadline: July 31, 2023
Blankstyle - is offering a $1,000 scholarships bi-annually to a student that completes their application. You will be asked to summarize your accomplishments and aspirations and why you would deserve this scholarship, including how t-shirts have played a role in your life. Deadline: June 1, 2023 , second opportunity is December 31, 2023
Farm Credit Services of America - Hastings College and Farm Credit Services of America are offering 8 scholarships in the amount of $2,500 (non-renewable) to full time, undergraduate students with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Must be majoring in any one of the following: Agriculture, Business (finance, accounting or economics), computer science or pre-veterinary. Preference given to students from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota or Wyoming with financial need. Deadline: June 1, 2023
Education Quest Scholarship - Scholarship amounts vary ($500-$3,500). Applicants must demonstrate financial need as defined by the FAFSA, a resident of Nebraska and US Citizen. They must be enrolled at least half time as an Undergraduate student. This scholarship will help students who face significant obstacles to higher education that are not already receiving multiple scholarships from other providers. Please be sure your 2023-2024 FAFSA is filed so that your eligibility can be confirmed. Rolling deadline until all funding is awarded.
Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship - This scholarship is worth $1,500. Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation and leadership in school activities and work experience and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness related fields. They are accepting scholarship applications from August 1st, 2022 until 1,000 scholarship applications are submitted or August 1st, 2023, whichever comes first. The Discover Student Loans Scholarship Award Sweepstakes - No purchase or loan necessary. This Scholarship Award Sweepstakes is open only to residents of the US. Twelve Grand Prizes awarded. A $5,000 check made payable to the qualified institution reflected on the winner's declaration. To enter follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form including a valid email address.
Attracting Excellence to Teaching Program - This is a forgivable loan in the amount of $3,000. The loan is forgiven if the student commits to becoming certified to teach in a shortage area AND teaches full time at an accredited or approved public or private school in Nebraska. Applicants must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program to be eligible to apply. For more information contact the Teacher Education Department at Hastings College or the AETP web site. Application deadline: May 1, 2024.
