The below scholarships are for the 2020-2021 year.

  • Melvin Elementary Education Scholarship - Applicants must be from Logan county or Washington county (Colorado) and majoring in Elementary Education. This scholarship is renewable, however, no dollar amount is listed. Stop into the Financial Aid Office to review the other criteria and pick up a paper application. Deadline is March 15, 2020.
  • Fred and Sue Josties Memorial Scholarship - Applicants must be from Logan county in Coloardo and have a 2.50 GPA or higher. This scholarship is renewable, however no dollar amount is listed. Stop into the Financial Aid Office to review the other criteria and pick up a paper application. Deadline is March 15, 2020.
  • Florence Turner Karlin Scholarship - This $1,000 scholarship (and renewable) is offered by the Lincoln Community Foundation and is for students pursuing a degree in Education, have completed at least sophomore year of college and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicants must be former graduates of any high school in Nebraska. Deadline is March 15, 2020.
  • Anheuser-Busch of Nebraska 'Responsibility Matters' Scholarship - This scholarship is for $266 and offered by the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation. Students must meet the following criteria in order to be considered: legal resident of Nebraska, attending as a full-time undergraduate, majoring in Business/Marketing with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher and demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Recommended deadline is April 1, 2020.
  • Lower Republican NRD - This scholarship is for students that have permanent residence in the Lower Republican NRD and plan to major in a natural resources related field (ie agri-business, forestry, park management). This district includes the following Nebraska communities and surrounding area: Cambridge, Alma, Franklin, Red Cloud and Superior. Deadline is April 1, 2020.
  • Kaufmann-Cummings Foundation Scholarship - This scholarship is for $1,000 and is made possible by the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation. Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered: legal resident of Nebraska with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher and financial need as determined by the FAFSA. First priority will be given to Hall county residents. Recommended deadline is April 1, 2020.
  • Virgil Eihusen Scholarship - This scholarship is for $225 and is made possible by the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation. Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered: legal resident of Nebraska, attending as a full time undergraduate, majoring in Business or a Business related field, and have financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Recommended deadline is April 1, 2020.
  • Quivey-Bay State Foundation - This scholarship is for $1,735 and is made possible by the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation. Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered: Legal resident of the state of Nebraska, (no other citizenship guidelines for this scholarship!) and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; with first preference going to students from the western part of Nebraska and second preference southwestern Nebraska. Deadline is April 1, 2020.
  • Kiwanis Scholarship - A local Kiwanis chapter is offering a $1,000 scholarship. Applicants must be majoring in Education field, with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher AND also must be a junior status in the 2020-2021 school year and formally admitted into the Teacher Education Department. (junior status is 57-86 completed credit hours). Recommended deadline June 1, 2020.
  • Family and Community Engagement Education Association-Offering a $500 scholarship to encourage students to return to college after their first year. Must be sophomore level standing or above. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for additional application requirements. Deadline is May 15, 2020
  • Education Quest Scholarship » - Scholarship amounts vary ($250-2,500) and are to be used for the 2020-2021 undergraduate tuition and fees. Applicants must be legal residents of Nebraska and have an EFC below 7,000. Please be sure your 2020-2021 FAFSA is filed so that your eligibility can be confirmed. Rolling deadline until all funding is awarded.
