The below scholarships are for the 2021-2022 year.

  • Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. Scholarship - This scholarship was made possible by the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation. This is a one time, non-renewable scholarship awarded for the 2021-2022 school year. Scholarship amount is $1,400. Must be a legal resident of Nebraska, cumulative 3.0 academic average or higher as a sophomore or higher class standing. Scholarship will be awarded to student pursuing an engineering, business, finance or other areas related to the manufacturing field. Recipients will be required to complete a biographical form which is submitted to the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation. Deadline: March 1, 2022

  • The Discover Student Loans Scholarship Award Sweepstakes - No purchase or loan necessary. This Scholarship Award Sweepstakes is open only to residents of the US. Twelve Grand Prizes awarded. A $5,000 check made payable to the qualified institution reflected on the winner's declaration. To enter follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form including a valid email address.

  • Education Quest Scholarship - Scholarship amounts vary ($500 - $3,500) and are to be used for the 2021-2022 undergraduate tuition and fees. Applicants must demonstrate financial need as defined by the FAFSA, a resident of Nebraska and US Citizenship. They must be enrolled at least half time as an Undergraduate student. Please be sure your 2021-2022 FAFSA is filed so that your eligibility can be confirmed. Rolling deadline until all funding is awarded.

  • Beacon Scholarship for Rural America - This scholarship will award $1,000 to two winners in the Fall and one winner in the Spring. Applicants must reside in a rural area and meet low income criteria outlined in the application with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. For Spring 22' Deadline to submit is November 30, 2021.   • Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship - This scholarship is worth $1,500 and is to be used for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation and leadership in school activities and work experience and interest in pursuing a careen in the health and fitness-related fields. Deadline: They will be accepting scholarship applications from August 1st, 2021 until 1,000 scholarship applications are submitted or August 1st, 2022, whichever comes first.   • Federated Garden Clubs of Nebraska This scholarship is for students from Nebraska worth $1,000. See requirements and application on web page. Deadline: Before February 1, 2022 Those that receive this scholarship can be eligible for the National Garden Club Scholarship of $4,000.

  • Excellence in Accounting Scholarship sponsored by Gulab Oils will be awarding a $5,000 scholarship after January 31, 2022. Applicant requirements can be found on their website. Deadline: January 15, 2022.

  • Sallie Mae 250 gap scholarships This semester, the Sallie Mae Fund, in partnership with Thurgood Marshall College Fund, will award 250 gap scholarships up to $2,500 to students who are in their final year of their postsecondary education program but need additional funds to cover a financial need. For detail information and application see website. Deadline: December 31,2021 or until all 250 scholarships are awarded.

  • Rustic Pathways Scholarship Students must submit an online application form and short essay. Selected student is awarded $1,000, two runner ups will receive $250 each. 500 word essay on what kind of global impact project is most critical for you to focus on and why, and what is your plan to make that impact in the next year and beyond? Deadline: August 1, 2022

  • Nursing or medical field students: Guidebooks to help provide information to budget your education. Provided by Premier Nursing Academy.   • Attracting Excellence to Teaching Program - This is a forgivable loan in the amount of $3,000. The loan is forgiven if the student commits to becoming certified to teach in a shortage area AND teaches full time at an accredited or approved public or private school in Nebraska. Students can apply for and receive AETP loans annually. Applications are made available in October each year and are due by November 1st. Applicants must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program to be eligible to apply. For more information contact the Teacher Education Department at Hastings College or the AETP web site.
